Fat Loss, Food & Healthy Living

In April 2019 I decided enough was enough – I decided to lose fat, eat properly and get strong.  No more faddy diets – no food is off limits!

As well as my fat loss journey you’ll find my struggles with anxiety and low mood plus chronic illness in here.  I suffer from Ankylosing Spondylitis; a sort of inflammation thing.

A confession

A confession

I have a confession to make. I've fallen out of love with blogging.  And I'm really sad about it. (more…)

Why go abroad – why UK beaches are the best in the world

Why go abroad – why UK beaches are the best in the world

The beach.  It doesn't matter where you go, there is always something therapeutic about the beach. If we look at going out for the day my go to place is the seaside - for years I've always sought sanctuary in the feeling a trip to the beach gives me. (more…)

One of those days

One of those days

Today is one of those not so good days. Life is all over the place at the moment - family dramas, work problems and a mardy-arse three year old mean that life is just, well, a little bit shit right now. (more…)

**GIVEAWAY** Play More – encouraging outside play with Sudocrem

It's that time of year - the Summer holidays are fast approaching, we are having a heatwave and life is all paddling pools, ice lollies and barbecues.  Yesterday we found ourselves without a car - and I moaned.  A lot. And then I realised how lazy I've become - up until a year ago the boy was pushchair-bound for most....{Click Here to Read More!}

Dealing with grief: losing my dear nanny

Dealing with grief: losing my dear nanny

I mean, the title of this post is pretty morbid but there was no beating around the bush here - every human on this Earth will at some point pop their clogs and it's never nice or easy to deal with. Last week my beautiful Nanny passed away.  I was devastated - she'd caught a bug which affected her heart,....{Click Here to Read More!}

So much to say – holiday, grief & injections

Yet again life has been hellish and crazy and I've not written anything for a while - it's been an eventful few weeks for various reasons. (more…)

Tears, TNF and no more tots

A lot has happened over the last few weeks; and I guess it's taken a while to feel comfortable enough to write about it all - or rather I've just taken to bottling everything up again. (more…)

Delilah & the wandering panty-liner

Delilah & the wandering panty-liner

If there was an award for the most random blog title, that would be it right? On Friday I went out, out-out, on the sauce and necking Prosecco like a boss.  I'd just survived a day in London and despite the fact that I was due on, devoid of any deodorant therefore smelling like a sewer and looking scruffy AF I....{Click Here to Read More!}

In your face, anxiety – part two: London with a 3 year old

In your face, anxiety – part two: London with a 3 year old

Yesterday was a huge day for me - we had been invited to Hamleys  for a special event and after my last trip to London I thought I'd be okay. Turns out my anxiety had other ideas - I started feeling awful about it two days before and the night before I hardly slept.  What if I lost the boy?  What....{Click Here to Read More!}

I don’t want to adult today

You know those days where you just don't feel right, mentally speaking?  That's me today - I don't know what is wrong but I don't feel right at all. (more…)

The Scales – an unhealthy addiction?

The Scales – an unhealthy addiction?

A year ago I binned my scales in a sort of dieting rebellion and decided that I didn't need to obsess over the numbers on the sad step. 2017 was to be the year I broke the habit of a lifetime - I wanted to do a whole year of not weighing myself, and break the obsessive pattern I'd got....{Click Here to Read More!}

Crying in the kitchen

Crying in the kitchen

I'm not sure what this is to be honest - prose, poetry, or just a few lines of complete shit. This morning I found myself crying in the kitchen because I was in so much pain I didn't know what else to do but cry.  I had so much to do - chores, make the packed lunches, get both of....{Click Here to Read More!}
