I dread the Summer. Don’t get me wrong I love the heat but finding clothes to wear is a nightmare.
Why? I’m a size 18, I have huge thighs and awful arms. I should be talking about body confidence but truth be told I’m not confident at all. I wish I could rock my curves and embrace them but I don’t like being plus size, it’s not right for me.
And so every time the sun comes out I stare into my wardrobe and try to find something cool to wear.
Shorts are a no-no. At 5 foot 3 they make me look about three feet tall and they tend to ride up.
Dresses are my go-to but I can’t wear them if I have to walk more than ten feet. Why?
Chub rub. My arch nemesis. And possibly one of the most uncomfortable things ever. To explain, it’s when your thighs rub together and the resulting chafing is bloody horrendous. I’ve ended up making my skin bleed before, and it’s awful.
In recent years I’ve learnt that chub rub affects everyone – athletes and runners experience chafing just about everywhere and I had no idea that it was such an issue.
That’s where Smoovall comes in – it’s a spray that prevents chafing and it really is a miracle in a can.
I’m well aware how cheesy that sounds – but I was amazed how well it works. A quick spray on the affected area, a good waft and 30 seconds of drying and you are good to go. It isn’t sticky, doesn’t smell and isn’t visible. In fact you can’t really feel it at all.[/caption]And so I went out for six hours in a dress. I walked maybe two or more miles, and no chafing occurred.
A single bottle of 80 ml Smoovall Skin Contact Spray contains an average of 30 spray applications. It is priced at £12.99 plus £1.99 for delivery, which is free on orders over £20. Yes, a little pricey but well worth it, personally.
If chub rub is making your life hell please go and check them out here – I was sent a bottle of Smoovall to review and I’m not being paid to say how great it is, it really is awesome.
