I could be all professional and start with something witty and interesting about Father’s Day but the truth is I’m so unbelievable excited about this post I don’t want to ruin the sheer brilliance with boring shit.
Father’s Day is approaching – a celebration of all things Dad and a chance to hit him(not literally) with an awesome card and gift. (If you are a bit rubbish remembering dates like me, it’s 17th June 2018. You’re welcome)
I love a good card – and that’s where Love Layla comes in. Love Layla is a small, family run business who create greetings cards, balloons, drink labels, badges and wrapping paper amongst other things.
When a bag of goodies arrived for me to check out I was blown away – they aren’t your usual shop-bought rubbish let me tell you – they are funny and mildly offensive and have a really luxury feel about them. (Never thought I’d write offensive and luxury in the same sentence)
For Father’s Day you can choose from lots of card and badge designs – grandad, stepdad, dad – there is something for everyone.
A badge costs £3.50 and a card costs £3.75 and comes wrapped in cellophane with an envelope(lovely blue envelopes they are too – never thought I’d get excited about an envelope) – they are well thought out from start to finish and the thought and detail that goes into everything from the design to the packaging is, well, fucking immense.
There are loads to choose from – you can be as funny or insulting as you like. I struggled to pick a favourite, I did love the ‘Magnificent Bastard‘ design. Each card also comes with a coupon – a nice little touch.
The little details are quirky and brilliant.
Buying a gift? Who wouldn’t welcome a gift that was wrapped in beautiful, luxurious paper emblazoned with ‘TWAT’ or ‘DICKHEAD’? Wrapping paper costs £4.25. (Note to self – not appropriate for kid’s presents when I’ve forgotten to buy paper)
Does Dad love a beer or six? Decorate his favourite tipple with a label. (I love the ‘Dad’s Dancing’ one)
What’s the catch, I hear your say, extortionate postage? Nope, FREE UK DELIVERY. First Class too, none of this three-week wait crap.
Overall, Love Layla are a pleasure to order from, the quality and service is amazing and it’s right up my street.
Anyway, enough of my soppy fangirling – I’m chuffed to pieces to be able to offer you 20% discount off anything if you use the code PTP20 at Love Layla before 12th June 2018. How bloody nice is that, eh?
