Some of us are naturally built to do different things. Some of us are great at sports, some of us are natural musicians, and some of us are natural artists. The same goes when it comes to being good at mastering the art of interior design. If you don’t have the right eye for it, it can be so hard to know what will work in your home, and what won’t. But we do understand that it’s so hard to have a vision, when your forte is just not interior design. For those if you who are already naturally excellent at it, start sharing your tips! But for all of you who are struggling right now, we’re here to try and help you. Whilst it might not naturally come to you, it will be buried deep within, it’s just down to you to try to release it. If you know you’re coming to a time where your home needs a little bit of a refurb, then now is the time to release your inner interior designer, and show off what you can really do around the home. Keep on reading to find out more!
Find Your Inspiration
So if interior design doesn’t naturally come to you, it’s not like you’re going to be able to pull ideas out of thin air, or this article would be pointless. We know how hard it is to think about what would look good where, and what wouldn’t look good somewhere. What’s more, it’s hard to know what’s going to clash with the rest of your room, because even if it suits one corner, it might clash with what’s in the rest of the room. So not many people try this one, but why not get an interior designer to help bring your vision to life. Even if you just hire them for a day, so they can show you what’s on trend at the minute, how to best use your space, and what they don’t think suits your home. If you don’t have that vision, why not just draw inspiration from another someone else who is doing it for a living!
The Current Trends To Follow
So now onto the current trends that you should be following, because if you don’t fancy hiring someone to bring the inspiration to you, you’re going to have to work with the knowledge we can give you. So the first trend we wanted to talk about, is art. Art is one of the most elegant and incredible additions you can add to your home, and no, we don’t just mean a little piece you can buy from the supermarket. We think you should visit this website, and pick out some true pieces of art. But that’s just to accessorise, as for the decor, you should be thinking about this ever fashionable grey colour scheme. It works so well in the living room and bedroom, and creates the perfect relaxing vibe.
What Doesn’t Work
Nearly everything works in a home, as long as it’s not standing alongside something that contrasts it. So always be careful when mixing colours in the same room, and mixing patterns. Sticking to neutral colours, no more than two in a room, and actually avoiding patterns at all is the best advice we can give.
