Sneak peek: The Christmas Grotto at Brookside Garden Centre

Alright, alright – I know it’s only November but let’s face it – once Halloween and Fireworks Night is over and done with Christmas creeps up mighty fast. With job and health woes this year I’ve been trying to get into the festive spirit nice and early and how better than to have a sneak peek at the legendary Grotto at Brookside Garden Centre in East Peckham. **PLEASE NOTE – I’ve tried to keep spoilers to a minimum but if you really don’t want to see what it’s like then don’t scroll down!** The most stressful day of the year? In local mum circles the day the Grotto is available to book is known as the most stressful day of the year – at 5:30pm half of Kent log on and book slots for the award-winning Grotto. But why is it legendary? Family fun at The Historic Dockyard, Chatham

I’m not ashamed to say I’m a complete history nerd and so when we were offered the opportunity to check out The Historic Dockyard in Chatham, Kent we had to go along – I’ve been a couple of times but not in recent years. We headed along at half term with our pals Whinge Whinge Wine plus Helen and our children all aged three and four for some nautical fun.

Planning a weekend away to Liverpool

It’s been so long since me and the hubs have had a weekend away – December 2012 in Eastbourne, to be precise, six whole years ago.  Now the little man is growing up we’ve decided to indulge a little and have an anniversary trip planned to Liverpool early next year.
