Review: Adventure Avenue – Burgess Hill

We were super excited to be invited to check out Adventure Avenue in Burgess Hill along with the very lovely Mummy in a Tutu and Whinge Whinge Wine and of course our little ones ahead of the grand opening.

Adventure Avenue is located in The Martlets Shopping Centre in Burgess Hill and has plenty of parking in the multi-storey.  It’s really cheap to park – £2 for 3 hours which was plenty of time and not too far away from the play centre.

Adventure Avenue is totally different to soft play – it’s a role play centre which encourages children to have fun and express their individuality in twelve different areas.  Not a ball pit or climbing frame to be found – refreshingly awesome…

Sessions last for 90 minutes which gives you plenty of time to play and grab a drink and snack in the cafe area.  Between sessions everything is tidied and ‘reset’ ready for the next.

You book in advance online and it costs £3 per adult and £3 per child with non-walkers free of charge.  Once inside your little ones can roam free and play as they please.  There is a small café serving a selection of hot and cold drinks and food, and WiFi for browsing or working if required.

You can play at being a chef, vet, fireman/woman, nurse and so much more across twelve different areas, we loved the fire engine and shopping area best of all.  There is a sensory room too, as well as baby change and toilet facilities.

Adventure Avenue is the brainchild of two awesome mums who had a vision and have created a safe and secure place for you and your children to play and have fun.  The passion for this project really shows – they have put a lot of time and effort into everything, completely renovating a former shop into a light and airy play centre.

All in all we had a great time and we can’t wait to come back once it’s complete and fully open, definitely check it out if you are nearby.

Have fun!
