I think it goes without saying that I like Prosecco – I’ve always been more of a sparkling wine/bubbles type of girl and no Friday(or Saturday) night is complete without a glass of something.
Unfortunately for me, alcohol has and always will cause me to gain weight; over the years I’ve always struggled to find a balance where I can enjoy the odd glass and still lose weight.
It doesn’t seem to matter what I go for – I just have to look at a glass of something remotely alcoholic and BOOM – I’ve gained a few pounds.
So when the lovely people behind Petite Prosecco offered to send me a bottle in return for an honest review I was intrigued – at only 59 calories per 100ml glass and lower-than-average sugar content it seemed I may at last be able to enjoy a glass on a Friday night and still lose weight.
Petite Prosecco comes in a box which I loved – it feels like a proper treat. The labelling is standard yet discreet – there is nothing worse than rocking up to a party with a bottle of plonk that loudly states that it is low-calorie; thankfully Petite Prosecco is nothing like that.
The big test was the taste – and I am pleased to report it’s really nice, and again nothing like the standard ‘low-calorie’ wines which can taste like brake fluid(not that I know what that tastes like, you know what I mean).
Petite Prosecco costs £12.99 per bottle(bargain) and is available to buy online – if you find yourself wanting a drink but struggling with weight loss then this is for you, it’s a cracking product and I will be buying more. 🙂
